Arrived in Chang Mai this afternoon. This first picture is of the "day market's" busy streets. We shopped around this afternoon and did our favorite activity: sampling food from the MANY vendors.
Later we took a tuk-tuk (a small motorcycle engine and frot wheel attached to a cart like thing= giant motorized tricycle/ acts as a cheep taxi) around the city. He took us to a silk factory where we got to see silk worms in their various phases as well as the traditionnal silk looms. I think he took us there with hopes of a kick-back if we bought anything, which we did not, but it was nice to see none the less.I'm very exausted because of jet lag. I couldn't sleep last night and have been awake since two am. Jamie's been here less than 12 hours and we got a thai massage (thats right another one!) and I'm in kind of in a coma right now. After our internet time we are going to plan our 3 day jungle trek...
oh the life.
PS: WHY is nobody emailing me? Although I have only been gone three days your time I live in the futrue here and it is Thurday and I havn't been sleeping and that means almost an eternity since I have received an email from anyone!

Hey Emilee... I had to create a blog to leave a post. I think what you are doing is exciting. Post a picture of you in the jungle... watch out for the kimodo dragons!
I miss you already... we'll shoot pool and get drunk when you get back.
